Hi, I’m Nelson.

I’m a commercial photographer based in Vancouver, Canada. I’ve had a camera in my hands since my third birthday. The world just looked better through a viewfinder, and I wanted to hold on to every bit of it. That hasn’t changed.

I still chase the feeling of a moment landing exactly right — an honest frame, nothing forced. Great photography stirs something in people, and that’s what I’m after, whether it’s a campaign or a personal project. Images that feel real, that let your imagination fill in the rest.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m often riding my bike, spinning wrenches on old Volvos, or swimming in the Salish Sea. I hold French and Canadian passports — but I’m not French-Canadian.
