Nelson Mouëllic is a commercial and editorial photographer based in his hometown of Vancouver, BC.
His images gained global attention in 2008 when he was awarded the coveted World Nomads Travel Photography Scholarship. This scholarship took him to Australia's outback to shoot with, and be mentored by a National Geographic staff photographer. In 2009 he was selected by the Canadian French consulate to represent young photojournalists in Western Canada at Visa Pour L'image, an international photojournalism festival in France. More recently, Nelson has worked in Vancouver's film industry producing commercial film stills and portraits.
Now, working primarily as a commercial and editorial photographer, Nelson's diverse background and experience contribute to his versatility as a photographer. Drawing on his previous experience, Nelson has the ability to create highly produced, commercial looking images, as well as a more natural, behind-the-scenes aesthetic.
