Nelson Mouëllic

Nelson Mouëllic is a commercial and editorial photographer based in his hometown of Vancouver, BC.

His images gained global attention in 2008 when he was awarded the annual World Nomads Travel Photography Scholarship, which sent him to Australia to be mentored by a National Geographic staff photographer.

In 2009 he was selected by the Canadian French consulate to represent young photojournalists in Western Canada at Visa Pour L'image, an international photojournalism festival in France.

Now, working primarily as a commercial and editorial photographer, Nelson's diverse background and experience contribute to his versatility as a photographer. Drawing on his previous experience, Nelson has the ability to create highly produced, commercial looking images, as well as a more natural, behind-the-scenes aesthetic.

Last night at Third Beach. — This is one of the last frames I ever shot with my 50mm lens, as it died shortly after in a drop onto my living room floor. On the bright side it’ll be cheap to replace, and I don’t have client work booked for the next week!
